Getting Started

Install the Bot

Click the "Add to Slack" button on our homepage to install TajineComrade to your workspace. You'll be redirected to Slack to authorize the app and select your workspace.

Invite to Channels

Invite @TajineComrade to the channels where you want to enable gift exchanges. Simply type /invite @TajineComrade in any channel, or add the bot through the channel's settings.

Start Sharing

That's it! Team members can now react to helpful messages with the 🍲 emoji to send tajines. Visit your dashboard to view analytics, manage settings, and track your team's recognition culture.

Troubleshooting

Bot not responding to reactions

Solution: Check the following:

  • Ensure @TajineComrade is invited to the channel
  • Verify the bot has proper permissions in your workspace
  • Make sure you're using the 🍲 (tajine) emoji
  • Check that the sender and recipient are not the same person

Channel not showing in settings

Solution: Try refreshing your settings page or re-inviting the bot to the channel.

  • Refresh the dashboard page (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R)
  • Ensure the channel is public or the bot has access to private channels
  • Try removing and re-adding the bot to the channel

Dashboard shows no data

Solution: Ensure your channel is properly configured and users are active.

  • Verify the channel is enabled in your settings
  • Check that gift exchanges have occurred in the selected time period
  • Ensure users are reacting with the 🍲 emoji to messages
  • Wait a few minutes for data to sync from Slack
